The group operates the world's largest portfolio of retail formats, retail brands and has the largest geographical presence. The company boasts a global family of 98,000 staff and company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Conglomerate Hutchinson Whampoa.
Founded in 1828 the A.S. Watson Group has evolved into the international retail and manufacturing business it is today.
The company is the largest Health and Beauty retailer in Asia, with Watson's (Your Personal Store), operating over 2,200 stores and over 900 pharmacies in 11 Asian markets including; Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia and Turkey.
The company is the largest perfume and cosmetic retailer in Europe with over 1,600 stores under three different retailers including Marionnaud, which alone operates in 16 different markets, ICI Paris XL in the Benelux and The Perfume Shop in the UK and Ireland.
